The search engines are finding similar headlines all over the internet. But please relax, because again people are not reading the whole study. It was so nice to see the whole town participate in the festivities. It was actually very emotional being in his house, especially his art studio where you can see his wheelchair, easel, paintbrushes and setting of many of his [...] Saturday was my celebration dinner as I finally got the internet and an iPhone so can be connected again. I had bought a half bottle of champagne the day I moved into my apartment ,but without the internet? No celebration yet, but yesterday it was time. I walked for a couple hours, went food shopping [...] Mr. K. Dunn Gifford the founder and president of Oldways Preservation Trust passed away this week. He founded Oldways in 1990 to “combat the rising prevalence of ‘pseudo foods’ on the market and the threatening tsunami of chronic diseases propelled in part by our poor eating habits.” Oldways was one of the first organizations to promote the Mediterranean [...] Sunday morning I took the bus to Cannes, as I wanted to see how the city was getting ready for their 63rd Film Festival. The ride took about 45 minutes from home and ended just across the street from the Cannes’ Casino. I took the little train to see the city and gather some ideas [...] I was a bit worried last week when I mentioned that I saw a few people wearing MC Hammer pants in Nice. Well, they are available for purchases in boutiques, markets and even saw the French Weather Channel lady wearing them on TV the other day. So get ready my friends, they should be in [...] Saturday morning I walked up to St-Laurent-du-Var to visit a literary and gastronomy exhibit. As I was getting closer to the actual site, I stopped an elderly woman to make sure I was heading in the right direction. She was sweet and helpful like all others I have asked for direction since I moved here. [...] |
