This week-end I will be harvesting wild lavender which will be transformed into essential oil. We will be around the small town of Guillaumes, about 1 ½-2 hours north of Nice. Last night I was invited for dinner at a friend’s house. She had invited a few friends from the Naturopathy program I started in June, which they finished a while back. She lives up on the hills on the west side of Nice. It was less than a 25 minutes ride, but a few degrees cooler due to the mountains and density of large trees. I left Florida Monday the 19th of April and landed Tuesday the 20th. Every time I look west at the Mediterranean, as far as I can see land, it’s Antibes and at night I see the shining light from its lighthouse. They are so nice, polite, welcoming, and helpful and it’s totally the opposite of what most people think. Already I could notice a lot more people on la promenade des Anglais and in Old Nice (Vieille Ville). Here in the Cros de Cagnes in Cagnes-sur-Mer; it’s a celebration week-end as we’re celebrating St-Pierre, the Saint of fishermen [...] I have to apologize again for not writing for a while.
